Ha, have you looked at Instagram photos lately? I say yes, legalize it. The last Federal legislation attempt that shut down Back Page and other sites, critics claim it jeopardizes the safety of "sex workers". I'm sure inside the Beltway of Washington D.C. they all know who to call for their itch.

Why are they buying names and addresses?
by Lost in the fog inapparently the jws of coventry, england, have been spending their congregation's money buying names and addresses from the local council.
i wonder what they want them for and is this something that each congregation does?
i'm curious now.

A Kingdom Hall which is NOT up for sale! Any ideas what's going on?
by The Fall Guy inthe kilbirnie congregation in scotland was "relocated" in january 2018 - almost 2 years ago - to the nearest kingdom hall a few miles away in irvine.
the reason given by london bethel was that kilbirnie kh was "scheduled for a refurbishment.
" how long does it take to initiate a kh refurbishment, for goodness sake?.

Remember, when they started that LDC or LSD whatever, they likened Gideon's 300 men that were culled from 30,000 men to be just like what Jehovah was going to do with the LSD in using the bare essentials of man power, it was by God's Holy Spirit that things were done now!
Just before I left the wonder association of brotherhoods the kingdom hall that I was attending had an extended remodel because the city inspector wouldn't give an occupancy permit until it was done. We were haphazardly told to go to other halls. Months went by and after a few meetings here and there I figured out that no one was keeping an attendance talley so I just skipped it.
This could be the start of how the GB is trying to shake people off, if you keep things moving enough they will get the idea or get frustrated.

Looking back at the people I knew in the Jobos.....
by punkofnice in...there are very few if any, that i would have willingly associated with.. my 'worldly(tm)' friends are all brilliant people.
they are nothing like the weirdos i had to put up with in the congregations.. what is your take on the people in the jobos as opposed to your associates now?.

I understand where you are coming from, so are we all weirdos also? Welll, moving on. My few but close friends were thinkers, we could talk about issues that we saw in the congregation, the quick build construction, and especially in the GB's direction of the organization. We would deconstruct an "elders school" and analyze it microscopically, then put it back together. Most of them had a similar background of some sort of Bethel full-time service and we had left on our own accord for various reasons and excuses. We would also drink a lot together. Fortunately, some have made it out like me, but some decided to take a double dose of the Blue Pill and continue PIMI.

by krismalone ini believe when we were in the jw cult, our brains and thoughts were hijacked by the governing body.
i truly believe the gb thinks all members are stupid and they laugh at them in their wednesday morning secret meetings.. one such teaching that i never heard anyone bring out or question yet the absurdity and contradiction is blatantly obvious is: revelation chapter 20 says that christ will reign for 1000 years.
it doesn't say he will reign more than a thousand yrs but only 1000 yrs.

So, tell me something. Why did Jesus sit at the right hand of God until God placed all of his enemies as his footstool, but then the first thing that Jesus did when he was enthroned in 1914 was start a war in heaven and he kicked Satan and his enemies out of heaven?

WTWizard, I have never seen nor heard of a JW concerned about relaying false information or even making it up to suit themselves. Further, I have never heard of a JW reproved either privately or publicly, disfellowshiped, or even privately counseled for slander. It just doesn't happen because the WTBTS doesn't care about individuals who are slandered.
I'm wondering why you didn't mention anything about unprotected sex, it seems like that is pretty much "anyone else's business if you choose".
